Multiparametric MRI Prostate
In recent years multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) of the prostate has become more widely available. This is a highly specialised radiological test that allows unparalled pictures of an individuals prostate, pelvic lymph nodes and neighbouring structures.

Allow computer targeted biopsies if a lesion is found
Closely surveil a patient with a low grade prostate cancer with less need for subsequent prostate biopsies

It is the most precise imaging modality of prostate gland and will identify 80% of clinically significant prostate cancers. It is most beneficial to detect those cancers that hide in difficult to feel regions of the prostate that may be missed on prostate examination.
